DVR Security System - Working, Installation and Surveillance

How Does DVR Surveillance Work?
In basic terms, the DVR security system is a computer which saves any recordings to its hard drive. Analog images are converted from the security camera into digital, and these are then compressed by the security DVR. DVR surveillance allows the adding of a large number of cameras, and any images can either be viewed together or separately before being saved on the hard drive.

Is DVR Surveillance Hard to Install?
No. DVR surveillance is installed simply by plugging the security cameras into the back of the DVR security system.

Remote Viewing with DVR Security Systems?
Yes. To view any DVR surveillance from another location, you need to log in from your computer, where you will be able to view real-time images with the aid of a webcam. Image quality will depend on the strength of the connection.

How Many Systems Can View DVR Surveillance Remotely?
DVR security systems allow 50 remote connections at any given time. Only one connection is allowed if using dial-up, due to limitations placed on the line.
