Access Control – Introduction to Access Control - Part I

In many homes and offices, you will find one of the highest levels of security systems available. This system is the access control system that keeps intruders out of areas that are restricted and only allows access to authorized personnel. This system even tracks the time of entrance and departure of the employees it allowed.
Access Control SystemThe access control system is found at many entry points of the building. The entry of these building is controlled by the different security features available with the access control system. The most common features are the numbered buttons and the touch screen. Both connected to a lock and release mechanism in the door. Specific pin numbers will help the employee gain access to the building and it will record who has entered the premises.
Another device that is used by the access control system is the Swipe Card Reader, which is also called a Magnet stripe Reader. With this type of reader you will need an encoded card to disable the locking system, if fact in many companies this encoded card is the employees Identification.
